U.S. Nuclear Deployment

Nuclear Deal Tracker

Tracking commercialization milestones, partnerships, and deployment announcements across U.S. nuclear projects.
Physical fleet = today's reactor count by status. Pipeline activity = development efforts and capital flow that may change those counts. A project (pipeline) can wrap one or more reactor units (fleet) — e.g., Vogtle 3&4 is one project containing two units.
Physical fleet — current U.S. reactor count by status
Operating iReactor units currently producing power. Each is a single physical reactor; multi-unit sites contain several. 94 across 38 sites.
units
Construction iReactor units inside a project at Construction stage. Counts physical reactors actively being built today.
units
Planned iReactor units announced but not yet under construction. Includes pre-application, permitting, and permitted/licensed projects.
units
Shut down iReactor units no longer operating. Some are inside Restart projects (e.g. TMI-1, Palisades, Duane Arnold).
units
Sites iGeographic locations hosting one or more reactor units. Some have active development projects, others are operating-fleet only.
Pipeline activity — development efforts driving change to that fleet
Projects iDevelopment efforts that create, restart, uprate, or extend reactor units. One project can wrap multiple units (e.g. Vogtle 3&4 = 1 project, 2 units).
Project cost iSum of cost-contribution dollars across all deals: grants, debt, and equity that fund project construction. Excludes PPA revenue (which doesn't fund the project itself).
grants + debt + equity
PPA exposure iTotal disclosed value of Power Purchase Agreements — primarily hyperscaler offtake (Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Meta). This is contracted revenue, not project funding.

What's this for?
The chronological stream of everything new — milestones, partnerships, capital, regulatory actions — scraped daily from 48 RSS feeds across the U.S. nuclear ecosystem. Use this view to stay current on what's happening week to week, or to narrow to a specific thread using filters (project, lead entity, reactor class, date range, etc.). Click any row to expand the full details, including linked entities and the source article. Export the filtered set to Excel anytime.

What's this for?
Use this view to check the status of a specific project, company, or technology — anything you'd look up on demand. Pick an entity type below as your entry point, then narrow with filters (state, lead entity, reactor class, deal stage, etc.) or jump directly to a specific item via the dropdown. Each detail page shows linked reactors, deals, capital roll-up, related context items, and a timeline of recent announcements — everything tied to that entity in one place.
Browse by entity. Pick what you want to explore. Each type is a different way to slice the same underlying activity — pick the entry point that matches the question you're asking.

Specific transactions tied to one or more projects — PPAs, loans, grants, equity, MOUs. The financial layer.

Cross-cutting frameworks — federal programs, hyperscaler portfolios, state policies, aspirational pipelines.
